Hello again ...

Hello again ...

It's good to be back after a very long break! I'm now 3 and a few months ago, my little brother was born. Mom named him Matthew, a name taken from the Bible that means "a gift from God". Yea, he's truly a gift, not only for my parents, but also for me. I'm so glad, because now I have a friend to play with. My Dad later added 2 more names, Alexandre (means "defender") and Marasi (from Batak, because God has shown His grace).

Since my last post, I've added more activities in my daily life. Three times in a week I go to Twinkle, my school. Got several classmates, but I'm the only girl in my class. That makes me feel special, eh? ;-)

First posting in 2006

Hi ... I'm back after a long long break! The last posting was about my 1st birthday party, and now I'm about to celebrate my 2nd. Phew, time flies ...

Many things happened in 2006. My parents and I moved to a new house last July. Not very far from the old one, this new house is a bit bigger in size, but it only has one level.

I'm getting bigger ... In fact, my parents already registered me to Gymboree at Cilandak Town Square. My Mom accompanied me yesterday for my first session and she told Dad that I did not want to leave the place. I just love school!

I'm posting several pictures taken this year. My Dad just loves to photograph me ...

Birthday Party

This is my first entry after a long break since October. My 1st b'day on October 31 went almost unnoticed, which I could understand. People in Indonesia were anticipating the Lebaran, this is the time when all the maids and nannies were leaving Jakarta and going back to their respective villages. Early in the morning, Mom and Dad took me to their bedroom and Dad led us in a prayer. Dad thanked God for me and for the blessed one year he and Mom had been through since my 'arrival' last year. Phone rang several time, calls from people who cared.

Lebaran went just okay. Only the 3 of us were at home during the festivity, so on the 2nd day we went out to have a break and spent one night at Taman Safari. I loved it very much!!! Mom and Dad said I was thrilled with what I felt and saw. All this time, I only saw elephants in the Barney show. But now, not only I could see the real elephant, I even touched its trunk and fed 'em carrots (of course, Daddy helped me). After some swim with Dad (Mom was enjoying the jacuzzi), we toured the Safari Park. We went to the baby zoo, me and Mom took picture with an orangutan. Then we went to see dolphin after touring the wildlife area. At first I was confused to see a giraffe licking the car window, but later on I even enjoyed seeing them wandering around. After a while I became bored and felt asleep. But anyway, I very much enjoyed this vacation. Hope we could go there again soon.

Dad went on a business trip to Bangkok on Oct. 26 and he came back on the 30th. He brought me a silk elephant and a singing book. He'll go again to Bangkok on Dec. 13 thru 16.

Mom and Dad finally made an arrangement for my 1st birthday. They had it conducted at Tamani Kids Kemang. The theme was built around Barney. The invites had my name on a Barney sticker. The gimmicks were also Barney's. I was so happy and thrilled to see Barney and Baby Bop on the backdrop. But the best part was to see a human-size Barney and Baby Bop entering the party hall and to see the kids became histerical. I was also thrilled! It's like a dream come true to have seen and touched Barney. At first I was a bit frightened, but later on I even kissed Barney on the cheek. Many kids were also like that ...

It was a great party. I enjoyed the company of so many kids, some I've never met even. Some kids look familiar. Of course, there were my cousins and friends from Sunday School. Dad took the backdrops home, so now I have a big Barney and Baby Bop at home. I got many gifts, most of them were toys.

Today is a special day. I'm not talking about my great granny who would've been 99 years old had she lived, but today my Mom will be returning home after her 6-day trip to Singapore.

Last night I was up when Daddy just arrived home. He actually was happy to see me up, because he thought he could play a bit with me. Daddy carried me upstairs and put me on the big bed. I slept instantly probably because I was too sleepy. But again, I woke up at around 4 and when I opened my eyes, I saw my Dad was also awaken too. Nothing much to do at that hour, so my Dad took my favorite book "Bees and Butterflies" and started reading from it. I guess he was trying to put me back to sleep, but unfortunately it didn't work!

Mom called home and told the maid that she's back in Jakarta but went straight to work. But she promised that she'd come home early cuz she wanted to play with me. She did ... I was a bit confused at first to see my Mom called my name when she arrived. Where had you been, Mom? But, I'm so glad to see you around again.

Dad came home late tonight. He carried me upstairs, but when he was about to put me in my crib upstairs, I was awaken and started whining. So my Dad brought me to his bedroom and when he put me on the big bed, I cried again. Then he put me on his chest and I fell asleep there. I remember me and Daddy cuddling until we both fell asleep. So, I slept between Mom and Dad tonight.

October 17, 2005

A new fresh week! Weekend was awesome! Spent a big chunk of my time with Daddy. We strolled the housing complex on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. We normally stopped by at the bird cages down at block B-X. But when we went there, apparently the owner had given away all the birds and there was no more birds or even the cages. I think he freaks out of the bird flu! Too bad, I'll never see those birds again :-(

On Saturday, Ompung Boru (Granny), Bou Ota and Cousin David picked me and Daddy up. We then went to D'Best on Jalan Fatmawati because Ompung, Bou and Daddy wanted to have a detox session. While they were having theirs, David and I could go to Timezone to play, eh? We spent only a few moments there because - I think - David used up the card. Oh well, we'll have to go downstairs and wait up for the detox session is done. David wanted to eat KFC so we went there, and while he ate, I drank my milk.

Time for Timezone!!! Daddy purchased a new card, cannot use the old one. I had a great time and Daddy took some pictures of me and David playing. Spent the rest of the day at home while Dad went to practice some music at Uncle Tunggul's.

Sunday morning ... I again woke up earlier than my Dad. I guess he just didn't have any choice but to entertain me, eh? We strolled the complex again. Thank God for creating Sundays; I can't imagine if my Dad has to go to work every day. But I miss my Mommy. Dad said Mommy sent a text message and said that she's done with her medical test but need to consult with the doctor on Monday evening. That means I have to wait for another day [sigh] before she comes home on Tuesday.

Daddy didn't take me to church today. He went to GKI Pondok Indah with Ompung Boru and wasn't sure whether there's a nursery like JICF's there. I was ready when they returned from church and took me to Cirendeu. There I met my other cousins: David, Nicolas, Mima and Zippy. Played some with them. Daddy spoonfed me biscuits but I fell asleep when I was done, probably I was too tired playing. The nanny took me to David's room and I slept there until about 3:15 when Daddy asked my nanny to carry me to the car cuz he had to go to Uncle Tunggul & Aunt Maria's 25th wedding anniversary. He didn't take me cuz he thought it wouldn't be a suitable event for me to attend, so I spent the evening at home watching Barney. I was already sleeping inside my crib downstairs when he arrived.

At around 2 this morning I was awaken. Was it because of a night mare, I wasn't sure. But for sure Daddy had to console me and finally carried me upstairs. So we moved to my parents' room and slept on the big bed. Maybe I miss my Mom so much, but I didn't know how to say it but crying.

Gosh, I can't wait for Tuesday. I wanna see my Mommy!

October 14, 2005

I woke up very early this morning (around 4:45), probably because I had enough sleep already. Went to bed early last night, didn't play with Daddy cuz he came home late. We again slept downstairs, I guess Daddy just didn't want to wake me up had he carried me upstairs.

Played by myself for a while, but when I realized Daddy didn't get up, I started making a loud noise. It worked!!! Dad came over to my crib and started to play peek-a-boo. But he didn't pick me off my crib and I wasn't too happy, so I started whining and groaning. It worked again! Now he carried me and took me out to the porch. Sat there and saw people at the street. I even smiled to a cat drinking water at the street but seems like the cat didn't care ...

Daddy brushed my teeth, said grace for my meal then handed me over to my nanny. He then went upstairs to take a bath and prepared himself for work. I had my breakfast, and it was a quick breakfast. When Dad came down, I'm done with my breakfast already. Watched some Barney then Daddy took me to the car. This is like a routine. I rode the car to the street then was handed over again to the nanny.

My day will go as usual. Thank God it's Friday! My Dad promised to stroll with me around the complex tomorrow morning, and I'll keep my fingers crossed to it ...

October 13, 2005

Last night I went to bed after playing for a while with my Dad. We were sleeping in the bedroom downstairs. I slept inside my crib and Dad on the single bed nearby. Mommy went on a business trip to Singapore yesterday. From the text message she sent to Daddy, I learned that she had arrived safely in Singapore and that she misses me and Dad. I'm sure, cuz me and Daddy miss her too. She'll come back on Monday, 10/17/05.

This morning, I woke up at around 5:15. My Dad was still sleeping so I'd better be quiet and not making any noise. But after 15 minutes or so, I couldn't stand it any longer. In fact, Dad should wake up anyway and get himself ready for work. And I'll be on my routines again, same stuffs: brushing teeth, milk, sun-bathing, vitamins, bathing, napping, milk, playing, biscuits, napping again, fruit juice, afternoon bath, afternoon nap, dinner, napping, milk and sleeping.

Gosh, I can't wait for the weekend to come ...
